Providence Health & Services Transporter in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Transporter (Full time 0.9 FTE, Evening Shift) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
Transport performs duties involving the movement of patients, items, and equipment to and from various nursing units and destinations within the hospital.
In this position you will:
Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed, morgue cart, to and from clinical, ancillary and support departments throughout PSPH.
Function independently through the utilization of an interactive voice response computer based Patient Tracking System.
Ability to operate the Transport Tracking system appropriately and efficiently by demonstrating proper phone use and following system processes.
Transports only the correct patient in the correct manner of conveyance.
Transporting, stocking, and locating of materials, supplies, specimens, equipment and miscellaneous items.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- A minimum of six (6) months in a health care setting involved in the movement of ambulatory and nonambulatory patients in a Health care setting or 2 or more years of military service.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
