Providence Health & Services RN Caregiver Health PSJH in Olympia, Washington


Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an RN Caregiver Health PSJH to St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week), day shift position.

We are seeking an RN Caregiver Health PSJH to promote optimal health and wellness in Providence Health & Services (PH&S) employees. The Employee Health Services (EHS) RN is responsible for providing and guiding clinical administrative employee health services. This position also supports administration of the database, maintaining complete and accurate employee health records. The EHS RN ensures compliance with state and federal requirements and PH&S policies and clinical responsibilities. Participates as an integral team member, collaborating with various PSMS departments, including Injury Prevention, Injury Management, and Well-being, to advocate for employee health and safety. Coordinates and/or assists with the development and implementation of EHS systems initiatives, programs and policies. The EHS RN functions within a shared services environment, requiring the flexibility to support and possibly travel to their various ministries. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes Providence mission, values, and philosophy. In all aspects, serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization and promotion of integration of services with a culture of safety, wellness and injury prevention.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to meet ministry goals and objectives

  • Plans employee health programs in collaboration with Supervisor and EHS colleagues in collaboration with local programming like Occupational Health Services

  • Triages health concerns for employees who present at or call EHS to ensure appropriate care

  • Provides first aid when needed within the RN scope of practice

  • Stays current on regulatory requirements and assures compliance with federal and state regulations and accrediting bodies

  • Monitors and responds to employee health concerns


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 year’s RN experience required

  • Experience with computer databases and MS Office software

  • Current RN license for state employed with Basic Life Support

  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

  • Occupational health experience

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse

  • Experience in project management and facilitation
