Providence is calling a Patient Services Representative (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) at Providence Medical Group Southwest Washington in Centralia, Olympia, Lacey and Rochester Washington.
Up to $3,000 Hiring Bonus
This position works under the direction and supervision of the Clinic Supervisor, Practice Manager or appropriate staff to support in the delivery of cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare in a safe, respectful manner that ensures patient respect and dignity.
In this position you will:
Greet, check-in, verify patient’s information and collect in a friendly and courteous manner in person and on the phone; direct flow of patients and calls
Collect and verify accurate and complete demographic information from patient or family member. Accurately enter all data into the information system and update established patient files as necessary
Process clerical records and information for clinic patients including patient charts and refer to billing when appropriate
Handles patient payments of cash, checks, and credit cards according to policy. Posts payments to computer, balances and closes payment batches
Ensure required authorizations are present on all patient documents
Qualifications:

Two (2) years of community college/business school training
Additional course work in business or health care related subjects
One (1) year experience working in a medical setting
Physician group practice
Experience with electronic medical record
