Providence is calling a Patient Scheduler (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Surgery Department to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a caring and engaged individual to perform a variety of clerical duties involved in scheduling appointments exam, and procedures; processing forms and data; and providing information to assist patients in obtaining hospital and clinic services.
In this position you will:
Patient Schedulers perform a variety of clerical duties involved in scheduling appointments exam, and procedures; processing forms and data; and providing information to assist patients in obtaining hospital and clinic services.
Duties focus on clerical processes and customer service, and involve responding to inquiries, maintaining documents, files, films, and data base records; reception, scheduling patient appointments; and other clerical functions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English
One year of health-care clerical or customer service experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in a hospital or clinical setting
Knowledge of medical terminology
Proficiency with business software such as Microsoft Office
Experience with scheduling patient appointments
Experience in using a multi-line phone and greeting customers
