Providence Health & Services Occupational Therapist in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling an Occupational Therapist (0.8 FTE, Days) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a dynamic OT to join our multidisciplinary Neuro team of caregivers who provide outpatient Neuro therapy services to patients with a variety of Neuro diagnoses including, but not limited to, stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Acquired Brain Injury and spinal cord injuries. In this position you will:
Provide initial patient evaluation in accordance to physician request in order to initiate appropriate treatment, which is reasonable in the terms of accepted practice and necessary to recovery of function.
Establish treatment goals and plan of care based on assessment and test results.
Provide therapy treatment to facilitate motor, sensory, perceptual and cognitive development.
Provide education to patients and their families.
Utilize software systems for the maintenance of patient records and communication with team members.
Work with a multidisciplinary team to plan, organize and chart the future of Neuro therapy services as well as improve patient care and performance.
Responsible for ensuring that the clinic is financially successful.
Work with a collaborative team of therapists to assure the highest quality, evidence based care is provided to our patients.
Provide therapy services to patient with acute and chronic neurological and general rehab conditions.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and a Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
Current Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure in Washington State
Current BLS AHA certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One year experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical field
Post graduate experience
