Providence Monitor Technician - Centralized Monitoring Unit in Olympia, Washington
Description:
Providence is calling a Monitor Technician (0.6 FTE, Day Shift) to the Centralized Monitoring Unit at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
The Monitor Technician is responsible for monitor surveillance for monitored and telemetry patients. Responsible for reporting rhythm changes and potentially lethal rhythms to a Registered Nurse following outlined workflow.
In this position you will:
Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and other physiologic parameters.
Respond to alarms and emergency situations
Utilize basic office equipment. (e.g. fax, scanner, copier, telephone, tablet, computer)
Maintain patient and department records.
Maintain a positive work environment
Communicate with courtesy and clarity, ensuring dignity and mutual respect in all verbal and non-verbal communication.
Protect Privacy, Confidentiality and Safety
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One year of experience as a monitor tech
