Providence is calling a Interventional Radiology Technologist (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Days Shift) to work in Interventional Radiology at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

Provides quality care to patients. Assists with Interventional Radiology procedures proficiently with various physician types, Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Neurosurgeons) to achieve desired outcomes. Participates in the growth and development of the DI department and contributes ideas. Brings ideas of improvement to the attention of Management.
In this position you will:
Responds appropriately according to age related needs and considerations.
Proficient in all Interventional Suites.
Performs independently as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist.
Performs & film exams independently.
Knowledgeable in IR supplies (location & type used).
Completes all paperwork & tracking associated with Radiology exams.
Obtains accurate hx for exam ordered
Uses validate and verify prior to exam.
Reviews study with Interventionalist when necessary.
Plans & arranges workload
Communicates with coworkers and coordinator to bring patients into dept.
Uses resource board to indicate RN and Radiologist needs.
Recognizes staff shortages and initiates alternatives
Accurately orders exams, Labs and enters charges. Able to proficiently and accurately use EPIC
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide for the primary population of patients served in the department.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training - Two (2) years community college/vocational training in a certified radiological technologist training program.
Registration by the AART (American Association of Radiological Technologists).
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
Washington State Dept. of Health Radiologic Technologist License.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year previous experience to include the equivalent of one year previous special procedures and or cardiac catheterization experience with responsibilities for assisting on Angiographic and other high risk procedures.
Healthcare related Bachelors Degree
ARRT Credentials in Vascular Interventional Radiography
