Providence Hospital Access Monitor in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Hospital Access Monitor (0.8 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Hospitality Department at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
The Hospital Access Monitors provide screening of patients, visitors and caregivers at the different entrances while limited access guidelines are in place. Door monitors are scheduled throughout the ministries based on location and need.
In this position you will:
Greets visitors and caregivers, utilizing the 4 questions to determine if they are able to enter the hospital.
Uses an infrared thermometer (or oral thermometer as backup) to determine entrance criteria.
If patient seeking treatment and has fever, mask immediately and call appropriate unit or department for escort.
Coordinate with units to collect patient items that may have been dropped off by family or friends.
Understand that at no time can anyone be turned away for seeking treatment.
Follow visitor and vendor guidelines as applicable for limited access policies.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent communication skills and a sincere interest in serving others
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Six (6) months of excellent customer service experience.
