Providence Health & Services Group Therapist (Partial Hospitalization Program) - Psychiatric Unit in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Group Therapist (Partial Hospitalization Program) (0.8 FTE, Day Shift) to St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
The psychiatric group therapist coordinates and conducts group psychotherapy in the Partial Hospitalization Program. Elements of the position include clinical assessment of patients, group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, referral, and transition.
In this position you will:
Provides clinical assessment daily and as necessary for a variety of clients with serious mental illness.
The group therapist is able to conduct mental status examination, conduct crisis assessment, assess for psychotropic medication side effects, conduct assessment for transition to other LOC and assess education needs of patient.
Plans, schedules, coordinates and leads psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational group activities.
Modifies Partial Hospitalization Program activities according to need.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Master's Degree in Social Work or in a Human Services or Psychosocial/Mental Health field.
1 year experience in conducting psychotherapeutic and psychoeducational groups.
Mental Health Counselor License or will procure an Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration within six (6) months of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
1 year experience in acute care mental health work.
Professional License - Qualifies as a Mental Health Professional.
