Providence Health & Services Enterostomal Therapy Nurse - Enterostomal Clinic in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling an Enterostomal Therapy Nurse (0.8 FTE, 10H Day Shift) to the Enterostomal Clinic at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Enterostomal Therapy Nurse who is dedicated to providing nursing care to a diverse group of patients.
In this position you will:
Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative, acute, rehabilitative, and maintenance services to the patient population afflicted with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.
Have the authority and responsibility for directing “Ostomy/Wound” related nursing care of both inpatients and outpatients.
Function as consultant, resource educator, patient advocate, and change agent.
Perform duties and responsibilities toward the advancement and growth of the position.
Serve as an advocate for privacy and confidentiality of health information.
Plan and offers in-service educational programs for health care personnel.
Registered Nurse licensed by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
Bachelor of Science degree in nursing or equivalent.
Current Board Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing; if not currently Board Certified, must complete a certification program within nine (9) months of hire and become certified.
Two (2) plus years' Medical/Surgical Clinical experiences in an acute care setting with a special interest in Enterostomal Therapy.
- Graduate from an approved Enterostomal Therapy Education Program with current Board Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing.
