Providence is calling a Echocardiographer (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Variable Shift) to work in Echocardiology at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

Performs quality adult cardiac ultrasound including the use of color flow and cardiac Doppler. Performs all echocardiography exams including transthoracic, exercise stress, pharmacological stress echoes, transesophageal echoes, and assists with structural heart procedures for patients.
In this position you will:
Scan independently as an Echocardiographer
Demonstrate skill and ability performing transthoracic echocardiograms independently.
Assist physicians with technical aspect of transesophagel echocardiograms.
Proficient in abilities to perform stress echocardiograms
Complete all paperwork & tracking associated with services provided by Echocardiography Department.
Obtain accurate history for exam ordered.
Accurately verifies exam
Communicate with coworkers and other departments to coordinate multiple exams and times to transport.
Meets licensure requirements for PSPH Echocardiography lab
Accurately orders exams, Labs and enters charges
Provides care appropriate to the patient population
Adheres to facility and department confidentiality policies.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) with emphasis and clinical rotation in Adult Echocardiography.
Possess a current “Active” ARDMS registration or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialising International) registration
Basic life Support (BLS) certificate.
Letters of reference from clinical site instructors and interpreting physicians, if new graduate.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year post graduate experience in adult echocardiography including stress echocardiography (exercise and pharmacological), transthoracic and transesophageal techniques. New graduates of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program will be considered, with letters of reference from clinical site instructors and interpreting physicians
One (1) year experience with Definity and Agitated Saline enhanced echocardiography.
