Providence Director of Operations - Medical Group in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Director of Operations (1.0 FTE, Days) to the Physician Support Services and Development Department at Providence Medical Group Southwest Washington located in Olympia, WA. The Director of Operations provides leadership and practice management of assigned clinics and services within Providence Medical Group South West Service Area. The Director is accountable for the development of patient care teams supporting implementation of practice management processes that result in cost-effective and quality day-to day operations. The Director of Operations works closely with Medical Directors and PMG leadership to improve operational performance in financial, quality, service, and engagement objectives. Leads established practices and develops new services. Communicates effectively with PMG Executives and Medical Directors regarding administrative and operational matters. Leads and/or participates in PMG special projects, committees, or task forces as requested. Partners with PMG Medical Directors on matters that impact clinic provider's professional activities or performance. Supports the mission and core values of Providence through responsible and effective work performance.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Director of Operations has three key areas of responsibility:
Overall direction and leadership of assigned PMG South West clinics to attain performance objectives,
Project management and implementation of operational and clinical program-based practices/clinics, and
Oversight and accountability for overall practice management at assigned clinics.
Develop goals and annual operating budgets for assigned clinics and programs. Accountable to ensure individual clinics and programs are operated within budget guidelines and are meeting stated objectives involving appropriate Clinic Managers and Medical Directors.
Hire, train, evaluate, and provide leadership for managers in the assigned practices to support the day-to-day operations of clinics and programs, including supplies, staffing, facilities, information systems, and scheduling.
Provide relevant operational information to and from providers, managers, hospital and program administrators, and staff involved in PMG operations. Recommend and influence strategic and program modifications proactively in anticipation of changes within the healthcare environment.
Implement ongoing training and development for Clinic Managers.
Periodically assess provider and caregiver needs within the clinics and service operations to assure appropriate staffing levels and recruitment efforts.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or health care related preferred
5 years physician practice management experience in a management level position
Experience in a complex healthcare delivery environment, including clinic operations, financial management, quality management and risk management in a large medical group.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Health Administration, MBA, or a related field
