Providence Health & Services Centralized Scheduling Coordinator in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Centralized Scheduling Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
The Centralized Scheduling Coordinator works in conjunction with the Staffing and Administrative Leadership team along with Managers, Supervisors, and various supportive service leads to staff departments with appropriate personnel.
In this position you will:
Coordinates staffing on departments. Accountable for staffing to grids, under the supervision of the Staffing and Administrative Leadership team.
Contacts employees regarding their availability to work as requested.
Coordinates use of external agency with the approval of the Staffing and Administrative Leadership team.
Minimizes use of overtime and other pay differentials. Meets staffing needs in most cost-effective manner, while maintaining quality of care.
Assigns adequate staffing days in accordance with policy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or GED
Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare, or Management or equivalent education/experience
Experience managing build and maintenance of staffing schedules within healthcare departments, health clinics, or other care facilities.
Experience in a healthcare setting (tertiary healthcare or hospital preferred).
Ability to follow strict guidelines of contract and policy requirements for staffing provision. Detail oriented.
Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
- Specific preferred experience includes: Managing the status of each employee in the assigned nursing unit and their availability at all times to ensure adequate staff is available to meet patient care needs
