Providence Health & Services Barista Coordinator - Starbucks Retail in Olympia, Washington
Providence is looking for a Barista Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Evenings) to work in Starbucks Retail at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
This position contributes to Starbucks success by assisting the store supervisor in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job deploys partners and delegates tasks so that partners can create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks and Providence guiding principles and core values.
In this position you will:
Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks & Providence.
Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift.
Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provides feedback to store manager on partner performance during shift.
Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
High School Education or equivalent
Current State of Washington Food and Beverage Service Worker’s Permit
One year experience in a customer service capacity; experience in food service.
- Lead or supervised multiple employees in a work setting. Must demonstrate the competency to safely and accurately operate equipment. Must portray world class customer service at all times and possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
