Administrative Assistant - Nursing Administration at Providence St. Peter Hospital

Administrative Assistants perform a variety of specialized clerical duties in support of administrative operations of departmental programs or projects. Duties focus on assisting the supervisor and staff with project support duties; organizing and scheduling outside preceptors; tracking expenditures and program information; producing statistical and summary reports; reviewing and monitoring applications, permits, and funds; scheduling; coordinating events; developing written materials and answering correspondence.

Work at this level typically involves a variety of complex clerical tasks requiring substantial knowledge of the department's work commitments and projects. Considerable independence and initiative is involved in determining how the work is performed and appropriate actions to be taken.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • One (1) year clerical experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree

  • Medical staff office experience or credentials verification office experience

  • Medical Terminology experience
