Providence Health & Services Radiation Oncology Supervisor - Radiant Care Lacey in Lacey, Washington


Providence is calling a Radiation Oncology Supervisor (1.0 FTE, Day shift) to work in Radiant Care Lacey at Providence Centralia Hospital in Lacey, Washington.

The Radiation Therapy Working Supervisor will perform a variety of duties associated with patient treatments and supervision of radiation oncology staff. The Working Supervisor will be responsible for Quality Improvement procedures and machine warm-up under the supervision of the Medical Physicist and Manager of Radiation Oncology. The Radiation Therapy Supervisor will assist in assigned administrative tasks and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. The Working Supervisor will assist management in conducting daily operations, rounding, and provide operational leadership to other staff members in areas specifically identified.

In this position you will:

  • Be responsible for the overall supervision of radiation oncology services.

  • Work with the Manager of Radiation Oncology to establish criteria to measure the achievement of short and long-range goals and objectives for radiation therapy services. Closely monitor results and objectives as required.

  • Be responsible for provision of high quality staffed operations, including orientation, continuing educations, and skills training.

  • Perform evaluations, staff counseling and discipline as appropriate.

  • Work with nursing to coordinate the simulation schedule


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Associate's Degree: JRCERT Accredited Program in Radiation Therapy -or-

  • Bachelor's Degree: JRCERT Accredited Program in Radiation Therapy -or-

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • ARRT Certification or RN License

  • Washington State DOH license

  • 5 years Radiation Oncology experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity in Radiation Oncology
