Providence Health & Services Patient Relations Representative in Lacey, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling Patient Relations Representative(0.3 FTE, Day Shift, Saturday from 7:45am-8:15pm) to our Express Care Clinic in Lacey, Washington.

The Patient Relations Representative is the first point of contact to patients. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service over the phone and the virtual visit platform. The PRR is responsible for front desk, patient registration, insurance billing and payment and collection/cashiering. Actively supports and incorporates the mission and core values into daily activities. Treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.

In this position you will have the following position:

  • Provides excellent customer service and serves as first point of contact to patients.

  • Facilitates communication between patients, providers, clinic staff, internal and external customers to support patient care.

  • Navigates multiple and complex data systems to research and/or record pertinent information in compliance with policies.

  • Operates multi-line telephone system; routes calls and responds to general inquiries

  • Registers patients. Collects and verifies accurate and complete information from patient or family member. Enters data in to system and updates patients' demographi c and insurance information as necessary.

  • Makes patient appointments and monitors appointment schedules daily.

  • Identifies medically urgent or emergent situations and responds appropriately.

  • Processes clerical records and information for clinic patients including cashiering, forms and charts.

  • Provides information to patients regarding financial policies and appointment or scheduling requirements.

  • Ensures that clinic and/or waiting areas are clean and well maintained.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 year Customer Service experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • College Degree

  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting
