Providence is calling a Bereavement Counselor (Hospice, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence SoundHomeCare and Hospice in Lacey, Washington.

In this position you will:
Participate in bereavement care after the patient's death, taking action and providing follow-up as necessary by the Plan of Care.
Facilitate support groups for bereaved family members and community members.
Facilitate agency and community programs on grief and bereavement; holiday grief workshops and annual memorial service for survivors, agency staff and volunteers.
Participate in Hospice team meetings and provide information, knowledge, and support regarding grief and loss issues and/or bereavement care.
Act as a liaison with existing community resources regarding grief and bereavement.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school OR a master's degree in counseling or psychology with a focus in counseling and a minimum of 1 year experience in the area of grief and loss
Current State of Washington Department of Health Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW)
1 year experience in the areas of interpersonal communications, group process development, and facilitation
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Valid Washington State driver’s license and insured, reliable vehicle
