Providence Health & Services Surgery Aide - Surgery in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling an Surgery Aide to Providence Centralia Hospital (1.0 FTE, Variable Shift) in Centralia, WA.
Under the supervision of the charge nurse, the Surgical Aide participates as a member of the perioperative nursing team by transporting patients, maintaining operating room supply levels and sanitizing/disinfecting the operating rooms.
In this position you will:
Transports patients to and from the surgical suite and post operative patient care unit safely and efficiently
Maintains and stocks supplies in storage cupboards and individual operating rooms; distributes linens supplies to operating room and changing areas ensuring adequate and appropriate supplies.
Assists in cleaning and terminally disinfecting operating rooms between cases and at the end of daily schedule to maintain operating room environment.
Performs tasks as delegated by perioperative nursing personnel, such as obtaining blood for transfusion, distributing surgery schedule, assisting with patient care and other responsibilities as assigned
Required qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Recent surgery assistant experience
