The Radiological Technologist I provides quality care to patients. Performs Radiology exams proficiently to provide Radia Radiologists with accurate information to reach an interpretation. Brings areas of improvement to the attention of Management. The Registered Radiological Technologist is responsible for radiological procedures, assisting radiologist, and radiographic equipment operations as outlined in the job's position description. Typical responsibilities includes: setting up and conducting radiological procedures and performing quality control and reporting tasks. Participates in the growth and development of the DI department and contributes ideas.
In this position, you will:
Able to achieve proper density and contrast for radiographic and fluoroscopic studies. Includes selection of proper use of MAS and KVP, and use of proper collimation. Obtains high quality images
Properly positions patient for radiographic and fluoroscopic studies. Includes following prescribed protocols as well as achieving proper positioning.
Understands and is able to operate all x-ray equipment within Diagnostic Imaging x-ray department, in operating room, and portable x-ray and fluoro (c-arm) equipment.
Communicates with other caregivers as needed for continuity of care for patients.
Assess and adjust care/treatment to be compatible with the age, growth and development and needs of the patients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Two (2) years community college/vocational training in an accredited radiological technologist training program or equivalent education/experience
One (1) year clinical experience in Radiologic Technology, or equivalent
Registration by the ARRT (American Association of Radiological Technologists)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Washington State Dept. of Health Radiologic Technologist Certification
Preferred qualification for this position includes:
