Providence OB Technician - Family Birthing Center in Centralia, Washington
Providence is calling an OB Technician (0.9 FTE, Night Shift) to Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.
The OB Scrub Technician works under the supervision of an RN and if an LPN within the Licensed Practical Nurse scope of practice. The OB Scrub Technician is trained to scrub in for cesarean sections (routine and emergent), set-up for deliveries, and maintain patient care supplies and equipment.
In this position you will:
Provide safe, efficient scrubbing technique for Cesarean Sections with or without fallopian tube legation, dilation and/or curettage of the uterus and assist Scrub with emergency Hysterectomy.
Facilitate the availability of supplies and properly maintained equipment and Instruments for surgical cases.
Provide sterile instrumentation for surgical cases.
Maintain a quiet environment during induction of anesthetic and waking the patient.
Acknowledge concerns of patient while they are awake.
Required qualifications for this position include :
Completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse Program or Completion of a Surgical Technology Program
One (1) year of OB scrub tech or LPN experience
Registered Surgical Technician with WA State Department of Health and AHA-BLS or WA State Licensed Practical Nurse and AHA-BLS
Preferred qualifications for this position include :
Trained qualified Surgical Technician
Three (3) years of OB scrub tech experience or three years’ experience as LPN
