Providence Health & Services Medical Assistant Certified - Oncology in Aberdeen, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling a Certified Medical Assistant (1.0 FTE, Day Shift, Oncology) to Providence Medical Group in Aberdeen, Washington.

The Medical Assistant – Certified performs assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN or Provider .

In this position, you will:

  • Consistently demonstrates adherence to the principles and requirements outlined in the Commitments and Compliance Integrity Program and any other organizational or departmental materials related to compliance with laws, regulatory requirements.

  • Consistently demonstrates adherence to Medicare and Medicaid regulations which directly or indirectly relate to the performance and job expectations.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Providence Health and Service’s policy on Patients Rights and Responsibilities and respects these rights and responsibilities in carrying out daily activities.

  • Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement activities.

  • Performs his/her work in a manner that meets or exceeds the level of care and service that Providence Health and Services promotes to the communities we serve.

CMA, Certified Medical Assistant, C.M.A.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

  • Active Interim Certificate or Active Medical Assistant Certified through Washington State; required by date of hire

  • If Inactive Interim Certification Status applicant must pass one of the following exams within 120 days of hire: AAMA, AMT, NHA NCCT

  • Current BLS – Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited) required to have BLS upon hire.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience in a physician office setting.
